This will hide the section line family if your view scale is above what you state it to be. It's a instance parameter you will need to check each section line in the view. Thanks for the tip!

So if I click on this section here, you can see in the Properties Panel again I can go to "Hide at scales coarser than" and again this view is set to 1/4" = 1' - 0" so I would just need to set it to a scale larger than that. So let's set it to 3/8" = 1' - 0" and then you'll see it disappear ... grass tortoise
